My name is John, and I am an independent travel expert and advisor… (not an agent)

I have spent the last 15 years travelling globally, in all styles and honing my knowledge of how to travel effectively and gain the best experiences.

In this time I have also gained experience as a worldwide travel expert and agent, at one of the most well-respected travel agencies in the UK that is recognised globally for its industry leading standard of training.

I have travelled to all six inhabited continents, have lived in four and have plans to visit the seventh by the end of 2025. My experience with travel includes backpacking globally, studying abroad, luxury private touring, bespoke cruising, hiking in the world’s most famous mountain regions, camping through Southern Africa, incredible luxury beach holidays, high-end safari’s, overland road-trips and more.

I can offer you unbiased and high quality travel advice that will help you book your dream trip. 

I do not have affiliations with brands, do not receive commission by recommending products or anything of the sort. This means that the advice I offer is sincere in that it is actually what I think will be best for you, your experience, your safety and your budget. 

I will not book or make decisions relating to your travel plans on your behalf. That part is up to you. I will simply advise, what in my opinion you should do, and by taking this advice you should be able to make the most of your time and money.

  • Protections or responsibilities; While all advice is given in good faith and is informed by years of professional experience, I am not acting as a travel agent and the advice I offer is general and my view only. Because of this, I am unable to take responsibility for the decisions or occurrences made, during or after any consultation relating to your itinerary and travel plans. If you are looking for protections for your trip, I can advise on methods of getting this during our consultation - but again, I will not and cannot be held responsible in any way for your travel plans thereafter.

  • To book your trip; Again, I am not acting as a travel agent and this would be a reckless overreach of responsibility if I were to book something on your behalf. I can however, guide you through the process to the best of my own knowledge and abilities.

  • Psychic predictions; This mainly relates to weather, unforeseen events and safety. I can give you an informed opinion on these subjects based on personal experience, professional experience and available data. However, the reason travel is such a complexed area and advice should be sought is because it is often unpredictable. Again, what I can advise on, is how to best protect and plan for these elements.
